Make a list of the reasons you love them. Make another list of the things you don't really like about that person. Which list is longer? Ask your self some hard questions. Do they know how you feel? A friend of mine was in a situation like this for 2-3 years. She finally told the guy. He saw her as a little sister type. She moved on but still couldn't shake her feelings. They did work together in an inner city ministry so she was around him everyday. Very hard on her. She dated one other guy for a few months but it wasn't fair to the other guy. She stopped dating him. Several months later, her dream guy just got up one day and realized that he had fallen in love with her too. She was a wonderful person, caring and did her job well. She was a woman of good character. It won him over. They had the most beautiful wedding, have been happily married for several years and have a family. It is tricky but if you can't shake it, you need to decide if it is really love or obsession. It can feel the same.

Give it up! I have tried to make my man happy for 4 yrs and nothing I do or say will make them love you! I was also married for 16 yrs. and what a waste of my life that was. Some people just don't want to be loved, they just want to be pursued and then reject you when they have you at your most vunerable moment(the moment you tell them the have your heart). That is when they will break it, stomp on it, and kick it to the curb!

I think if I made my feelings known to that person, and that person let me know that he did not feel the same way, I wouldn't pursue that person anymore. I would spend my time looking for someone else who could quite possibly have feelings for me too, and not waste my time on something that could never be.

If that person doesn't even like you, why bother? You can't make someone love you. It may sting for awhile, but the hurt goes away with time. Life is too short. There is someone out there who will care about you.

Well its not really giving up. You have no choice. If someone dosen't like you then..umm that is a hint that there probably no chance. Why put yourself through that torture? Find someone who shares the same feelings as you do.

If you truly were in love with someone, you should respect their decision to not be in a relationship with you, at least at present. Stay friends, maybe they'll come around on their own once they get to know you better.

i would try at least one more time than i did the first time to get them back but if it were just purpose less i would let go and move on because it would be a waste of time just to chase a guy around when he doesnt want me

I wouldn't consider it giving up, but you can't force someone to like you hun. You know yourself whether there is any chance, and if the answers no then start the healing process!
