I have 3 bullies and they are always laying around. That is usually because that's what the breed does. They can't go on long walks or stay in the heat. They are most content laying in the air sleeping.

My sister's bulldog used to be incredibly lazy too. A walk down the block was about the max he could ever do. After she started feeding him improved food and supplements (she's currently feeding raw), his energy level picked up dramatically. Just a thought.

i have a bull dog too and i live out west and it is like 101 degress outside and so mybulldog is always tired or sleeping when outside... 2 reasons
1) hes fat and his short legs have to work hard
2) bulldogs have something called a short pallet and it makes it hard to breathe...
if neither of these seem to be the problem then go see the vet

English Bulldog???? Go to the vet and check for breathing problems that can be surgically corrected. Not getting enough oxygen can make them very tired!!!

Some dogs like people are lazy. But if it really is 100% of the time, I would bring your dog in. a dog's health is reflected in it's behavior. So maybe it has anemia, or worms, or something that is causing it to be tired.

try to have some sort of 'fun and games' with yr dog, and reward with treats?
like the method to train police dogs etc.
make it do something, like running from point a to be, fetching yr slippers, and reward it when its done correctly. repeat till almost prefect, repeat method to do something else, daily!
and do spend enough time with yr dog, toys might be good, lasers pointer will make most humans or 2/4 legged friends curious and chase it around. beware of furntiure.
Else, if u are lazy, then what to do? lazy with the dog too ......

Bulldogs are typically a lazy breed. Just make sure you take him for walks and everything so he doesn't get too fat.

if it is really hot then dogs sleep alot. My labrador sleeps all day and does not want to play until it cools down. And my dog is really active. But if your dog sleeps ALL THE TIME take him to the vet! No time to waste!

maybe its overweight and if not maybe its has tape or heart worm that is supposed to make them tired
