My cousin's 2 kids were molested by her husband / their dad last year...well they just found out last year...he'd been doing it for along time especially to her 5 yr old daughter...well soon after he was taken away and put in jail she started dating men off the internet and approximately 6 months ago one of these men moved in with her and her 2 kids. and this is about 6 months or so after they found out about all this. Do you think this is irresponsible parenting? Do you think she should be thinking more of her children than of her selfish needs and wants? I just wanted to see what other people think of all this...to see if I am not the only one who thinks she is so incredibly selfish. Thanks for your opinions!

She needs to be thinking of your children right now, and focusing on their needs. Clearly if she bearly knows this guy, it is not appropriate for her to expose her children to him. The reason that they got molested, is because she didn't screen the guys she marries in the first place to make sure that hed be a fit parent or not, hence she married and had kids with a loser who is now behind bars. She needs to give her children more attention, since there is clearly a problem since it took her a while to find out about the molestation. I do think that she is trying to move on with her life too quickly, and should stop and take time to think whats the next best move for her and her children. Also the children would definately need therapy of some sort, and by moving on with her life she is indirectly telling them to move on with theirs and implying that what happened to them didn't matter. Her children might interpret this as neglect, and not feel that they are important to her, which could be a floodgate for future incidents or behaviour that they may be involved in. She should think of her childrens future and not just her own. Especially not while shes blinded by her latest love.

I think that she needs to take the time to help her children heal from the scars of her last relationship before moving on to a new one. It's irresponsible to put finding a new love life above the mental and physical wellbeing of her own children.
Maybe you should offer to take the children in for a little while, as this must be a tramatic time in her life and you want to give her time to figure things out.

I suppose humans can believe unfastened to have the opinion that they wish. They will have to be capable to specific there opinion, and people who concentrate (which will have to be tons of humans) will have to have an open brain, and probably difference there opinion. Some critiques won't develop into something, but it surely doesnt imply there nugatory. Even if no one treasures your opinion, you will have to. Its what makes you who you're.

Yes, after something so traumatic for the children, how can she so quickly jump into another unstable relationship,her kids should be taken away from her since she wants to live the single life

Probably the LAST thing these kids need in their lives is a strange man under their roof! I agree with you. She is incredibly selfish to the point that it borders on abuse itself.

certainly some people should not have children period!! Just because you have a pair of ovaries or testicles does not enttitled you to bring children into this world!! Bringing children into this world is a hugh responsibilties...many people regardless of their age are not emotionally mature enough to be in a relationship let alone parenting.....I'll be sad the day that we have law restrciting people of having children but I wont oppose it!!

it shows that she was irresponsible from the beginning i mean her children were being molested and she did not notice, where was she????she should take batter care of her children and sacrifice a little for them because if she doesn't who will????

To be honest she doesnt seem to care much for her kids at all, I mean she doesnt take their feelings into consideration, she is thinking only of herself, I went through the same crap when I was young, and yes I do agree with you.
