It has nothing to do with sex, it has to do with control. The fact he is looking to date a girl who is both underage, and 6 years his junior tells me he might be trouble.

There is no reason in this day and age for a young girl to want an older man, they never really have anything in common, and if he is not pressuring you right now.. He is most likely waiting for the moment of truest the spring up in your eyes, that is when a woman of your age is most receptive to ideas.
Well I wish you all the best if you do think this relationship is worth it. boys in that age group do suck but atleast they well tell you the truth.. what ever that may be.

Its OK.
When I was 23-24 years old, I dated 16 year old girls.
Some younger women display more mataurity than some older ones.
When I was in my 20's I dated many ladies from 15 to 19. Some displayed more maturity than others.
Also, many younger girls are physically more mature than their male counterparts of the same age. Some males, age for age still don't have a clue of what is going on!

It's fine for you but he could get in big trouble. Just wait until you're 18 to do it. (I know a couple who met at 17 & 24 and they're still together 6 years later)

It's perfectly fine for a 17 year old girl to date a 23 year old man AS LONG AS IT'S NOT MY 17 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER!

It's your life, and you're getting near the age of consent. Glad the guy isn't pressuring you, and hope that he is a good guy - not a jerk.
