Hahahahaha - perfectly said!
Yep in a nut shell that also epitomises the stupidity of violence in the first place!

Fighting for peace is the function of removing anything that threatens peace. A tyrannical government or a power hungry dictator with no regard for human life, rights or freedom. F'ing for celibacy is just a play on words that have no bearing whatsoever on an actual concept of sense or order. With that being said, there are words in the English vocabulary that mean the same thing as,'f*cking', but are not considered as offensive. The same slogan was disregarded during the Vietnam era for the same reasons.

I usually hear it as f****** for virginity rather than celibacy. Makes a little more sense to use the word celibacy, though.
However, the fact is that you do have to fight for peace at times. It's just the way the world works. If we were always peaceful, and didn't fight people like Hitler, peace would soon be altogether nonexistent until someone decided to fight for it once again.
There are many wars and battles within wars that have little to do with peace, but still... human nature will inevitably require that we repeatedly fight for the virtues we hold dear.

The opposite of war isn't peace the opposite of war is OPPRESSION. People think that if there is never a war we would have peace but you are wrong. The only way to prevent war altogther is to keep people in line so to speak. If you call living where you fear for your life peace that is your choice. If we lived in a perfect World then YEAH you could have peace without ever having to fight for it.

very true.
if u listen to what people say about creating peace(these ppl dont recognize peace untill we have to put a gun a their head to recognize it) its just weird
but there are many situations where this is valid, i mean if no one did anything in WWII, we'd be speaking german right now.
but the current situation(lets fight abroad to stop something that hasent happed yet) cant be justified, which explains why this slogan was used during vietnam
