can anyone help me my son is 1 always pulling my god daughters hair and biting her does anyone know how to get him to stop she is 5 what should i do

i have tried everything from seperating them to pulling his hair back to time outs to making them hug my 4 yr old daughter used to do it to my god to when she was two he has actually drug her down the hall by her hair i dont think he just acting his age because its only her that they do it to

my fav is the chair
face two kitchen chairs at each other,
add two children,
tell them for fighting they are now required to hug (for set ammount of time)
place each childs hands on opposite childs shoulders
start timer
if they choke each other reset timer
teaches children they must solve petty disputes and work together to accomplish a task :)

Almost every kid goes through a BIG hair pulling and biting phase. Your son is acting normally for his age. He is not doing it to be "mean". Watch the two closely when they're together so you can try to prevent it. I don't think your 1 year old son is doing it to fight. Almost any 1 year old child pulls hair and bites until they're closer to two years old. It is a natural stage he is going through. Just watch when he gets close to her so he doesn't bite the little girl.

he's a 1 year old, for pete's sake! give him something to chew on, and reprimand him when he pulls hair.
forget all this PC new-age parenting garbage. Spare the rod and spoil the child.
Nail him once and I bet he won't do it again.

he is 1 which means there is no way you can tell him what to or what not do, best thing is try and keep them apart. it is extremely risky for a child to be close to an older more mobile child to be left on there own as the older child is most probally jealouse as the younger child gets more attention, so best thing is to keep them apart.

I know this sounds harsh but it has worked before. Do it back to him and tell him "hurts". I had a nephew who use to bite and finally one day his mom bit him back. (of course not hard, but hard enough he felt it) He never bit again.

Make them do everything together then later on they will have to get used to each other then they will start to get alone

sounds like a typical one year old; let him know what he is doing is wrong but don't expect him to understand completely at that age.

He's still a baby...and just playing, I wouldnt consider this fighting.
