As Alpha Female said , there are chemical products you can get at the Pet Stores or at Hardware stores to keep animals off your lawn. Also talk to the neighbor about this, if they won't listen, start listing the days the dog visits, then pick it up with a shovel and toss it onto there yard I'm sure they'll get the message quickly.

There is a spray that you can apply around your border or plants and it won't hurt them. Comes in a big, yellow plastic bottle.
If it doesn't work and under the assumption you've attempted to resolve this with your neighbor, do the following:
1. Shake contents of large, yellow plastic bottle vigorously.
2. Grip firmly in hand.
3. Walk to neighbor's, ring bell.
4. Neighbor answers, smash in face with the plastic bottle.
5. Pet dog on head several times before returning to your home.

hahaha i had the same problem. Put a bunch of dog food in your neighbor's yard so that the dog pigs out and craps in his yard. Or get an electric fence. Or you can put another dogs urine on the lawn so it will stay away

Ask your neighbors to have the dog stop pooping in your yard, and to clean it up. If they don't, you have a choice. Grin and bear it, or bring an action in trespass against your neighbors in small claims court. You'd win the trespass action, but really piss off your neighbors. Your damages might be minimal though.

There is a product available at most hardware/home centers that will keep all kinds of animals out of your yard. Just ask a sales associate what works best to keep animals out of your yard.

Spray your grass with a canine pepper spray.
It won't hurt the dog but the smell will deter the dog from stepping onto the lawn.
Other than discomfort, it won't hurt the dog and you'll have a "cleaner" lawn.

Tell the neighbors to keep their dog at home. If you do not have a pooper scooper, buy one, and toss the poop back into their yard. Maybe they will take the hint.

If you have a camcorder, video the dog doing it, and then call animal control for your city and show them the tape. A couple of costly citations, and the dog's owner will probably be more concientious. Plus, flinging the crap into his "driveway" will give him a sense of responsiblity!

Talk to them about it, tell them it bothers you. If they don't care and they let the dog off its leash, call the animal control. They won't be happy having to pay for doggy bail, but it might get the point across.

tell your neighbours to take responsibility for their dog.
I would assume wherever you live that they have bylaws that don't allow dogs to just "run free", if they are unresponsive - have your local animal control pay them a visit.
Idiot dog owners like your neighbours give the rest of us a bad name.. go get em girl!
(ps . if you prefer to be less confrontatonal, there are sented soil additives that you can get that might ward them away)
