My friend loves doxies. His first dog was a doxie and he's never lived without one since. He has a red female right now. She's sick. Age. My biggest wish is to give him his next one as a gift. I'm moving away and I thought that would be perfect. The cost is the only problem. I'm a student and simply could not afford it. I was just wondering if maybe there were any doxies out here in California, that were having babies, that wouldn't mind me having one to give to my friend. (or maybe for an affordable price) Thank You and please feel free to email me with any questions.

a woman I artwork with has 7 Dachshunds. the situation human beings might desire to realize is Dachshunds don't have a hound-like character, they have an particularly solid terrier form character. they are plenty greater like terriers than hounds. Hounds are often very docile and laid back, Dachshunds at the instant are not. they are ambitious, lively, solid-willed canines. And sure, in the event that they are confronted or challenged, they might bite. Any canine can, of path, yet terriers are greater common for being nippers. i would not call Doxies vicious or aggressive, because of the fact they are very candy and loving canines. yet they do no longer take crap from human beings or canines, and at circumstances they might submit a combat. final analysis, it comes all the way down to the guy canine, and clearly a mixture breed shouldn't exhibit a hundred% Dachshund character besides. yet once you're watching for a relaxed quiet hound canine, you at the instant are not likely to get it from a Dachshund.

Try the local shelters. Also that are organizations that are rescue facilities for breeds of dog, cats, etc. Just do an Internet search for dachshund rescue organizations. Good luck

Hello?! The best place to find ANY dog EVER is the pound! Go there, they have lots of selections, usually including dachshunds! And it's a lot cheaper then buying from a breeder!

MY SON SALES DOXIES BETWEEN $150.00 TO $200.00 BUT WE LIVE IN ARKANSAS HE HAS DAPPEL, RED, BLACK & TAN, BLACK, BROWN ALL DIFFERENT COLORS, I HAVE 2 LONG HAIRED ONES, WHEN THEY HAVE PUPPIES THEY WILL BE $1OO.OO THEY JUST HAD PUPPIES ON MAY 28TH BUT WE DO LIVE TO FAR APART, THAT'S TO BAD, I'M SURE PUPPIES ARE CHEAPER HERE THAN IN CALIFORNIA. TRY AN ANIMAL SHELTER, I'M SURE IF YOU LOOK AT ENOUGH OF THEM YOU WOULD FIND ONE. GOOD LUCK
