I have a Shih Tzu, and I named her Chloe. I love that name for a female dog! My cousin has a Yorkie named Daysie. My co-worker has an English Setter named Tyler (yes, it's female).

My friend's had nothing but female doxies his whole life. Of all the names he's told me, Geenie stood out the most. Geenie Weenie. If I got a doxie today, I would name him or her, Twinky.

Growing up, used to have a female mini dachsund named Hilde, short for Hildegard (sp?). We pronounced it Hill-dee; it's German and seemed to fit her well.
