I am five feet one inch tall and weigh 140 pounds. I am trying to lose some weight. Nothing works! I stay exactly the same. I exercise daily, count calories, and have tried diet pills. My weight will not change. Any suggestions? Serious answers please!

I hate to break it to you, but the scale doesn't mean anything. You could be working out and exercising but not losing weight because it is being transformed into muscle. Think about it, if you're working on your thighs, it is very hard to lose weight on your thighs but very easy to make them look better and toned. I would say just exercise and work for that perfect body and forget what the scale says. If you don't lose weight but feel and look healthier, that is all that matters. I must remind you though not to exercise too much. A half an hour or 45 minutes a day every day is all that you need. Don't over do it, but also stay committed. Don't tell yourself that you deserve to eat that Krispy Kreme because you exercised yesterday, because you don't deserve it no matter what. I also remind you to eat after you work out and eat 4-5 smaller portions so your metabolism can digest it better then 2-3 heavy meals. And don't eat anything after 8 o'clock or so because while you're sleeping your body will digest the food and turn it into fat so midnight snacks are a no-no. Good luck.

The best way to lose weight is diet and exercise. You are headed in the right direction, but maybe you need to tweek some things. Diet - there are websites that will help you calculate your need calorie intake for weight loss. You plug in your height/weight/exercise habits and it will tell you what you need, just do a google for it. Also, calories are important but you have to keep your fat intake to a minimum as well as unhealthy carbs. I'm 6'1 147 lbs, most of my carb intake is from fruits, skim milk, and wheat bread. Make sure to get at least 5 servings of fruit and veggies (at least 1 of them green leafy veggy). I don't know if you drink pop or coffee but you need to stop if you do and I mean completely stop. There are 150 calories in one can of pop and I think 39 gs of bad refined sugar. Only drink water and skim milk, no sodas or juice (again sugar). Water is your friend, no calories and helps clean your system, drink as much as you can, I drink over a gallon a day. As for sugar, you must stop eating any kind of sweets like candy, cereal, donuts, cake, or any sugary snacks, you will get all the sugar you need from fruits (the good sugars). The refined sugars in snacks, although they taste good, are bad for you and will definitely add to your weight problem. However, I do have what's called a cheat day. Once a week (usually Friday) I eat whatever I want (within reason) to reward myself for eating healthy for the other 6 days.

Exercise - you don't say exactly what you do for exercise, but I think a common mistake that people do is under-exercise. Honestly, walking one mile a day, five times a week is better than doing nothing but it will probably do squat for losing weight. You need to run for an hour straight 5-6 times a week (a 5 mile run take me an hour - 11-12 minute miles which is a moderate jog). I know that sounds extreme but if you really want to shed the lbs, this will do the trick. Go at your own pace, if your endurance isn't there then build it up. You don't need to sprint or run fast, go at a medium pace like I do. The only way I really lose the weight is through jogging, running (I also lift weights three times a week). And weight lifting is another great way to burn calories and build muscle too. But if you don't have the time then just run.

If you combine strict diet with a regular cardio burning routine the lbs will start to fly. Feel free to ask more questions if you want. I hope you lose the lbs

Stop taking diet pills. Period.

Pick an excercise routine and stay with it for at least ONE YEAR. It takes a while to put weight ON, so it will take a while to get it OFF.

Eat smaller portions, healthier foods, and excercise regularly (at least 30 min of cardio every day, and some toning/strengthening a few times a week). Even if all you can do is go walking, make it a brisk (fast) walk and you'll be okay.

The key is persistence. Like I said, it will take time. Stay with it and don't be in a rush to get the pounds off. The more you try to rush it, the harder it will be to lose it.

Drink alot of water, eat fresh fruits and vegetables and walk even if you're too busy to go out walk up and down the stairs. Set a goal, one week exercise for fifteen minutes and each week after add ten minutes to your regimen. Don't eat after six o'clock p.m. and be careful, diet pills and counting calories are not wise choices I speak from experience they may work but your body pays the future tolls in the longrun! If you'd need someone to talk to lmk I've been down that same road and there is a bright light to look forward to just use caution when dieting.

It does not sound to me as although you ever had any purpose of relocating into the residence your "fiance" is constructing. You must were sincere with him from the starting. You appear to be the kind of individual who simply lays again and shall we matters occur, after which will get disenchanted whilst they do not prove for the excellent. Until you difference your perspective your lifestyles goes to be a large number. Your mum is not continuously going to be there for you, and together with your perspective, it's dubious that any one else will likely be, both. No one needs a companion who ignores what's excellent for one's youngsters considering that you would ought to transfer from your relief zone. Time to develop up and begin appearing like an grownup. How do you assume to have any trust when you not ever placed forth any attempt to achieve something new? You are most of the time disenchanted considering that you already know you simply are not able to move via lifestyles driving in your mum's hip. Give your companion and your mothers and fathers a holiday and begin taking a few accountability on your household.

Have you seen your Family Doctor yet? He might be able to prescribe some diet pills that are more effective than anything you can buy over the counter.
