This is why I always leave a good tip - waiters and waitresses work very hard - I could never do it - standing on my feet all day, serving people their food - I would collapse. I went out to eat last week and saw a table of 4 people have dinner and left $2.00!! That's horrible.

Thanks for announcing it to the people who don't know!!! I use to tip out 10% to the bar and 3% to the house. Cocktail serving is better money though. It pays well(waitressing) so it's worth the tip outs!!! Where else can u make $300 in 5 hours?

Yes I worked in restaurants all through college, for that reason alone I was not a server.

I am also a very picky tipper because I worked in restaurants so long. I have very high expectations for customer service.

yep. I used to work in a restaurant as a hostess ($10.00 US/hr) and he wanted to "promote" me to a server! I TOTALLY turned down the offer and quit my job. FREAK!
