My friends are in a fight and i'm stuck in the middle. It's really hard for me because i can't pick either side. My friends always try to talk me into being on their side and all but i don't want to even be in this fight, so now i am hanging out with boys. I wans't much i girly-girl from the start, but i didn't feel this natural around boys. now i like talking to boys and i don't feel like like their "ick". Why am i felling that way?

This used to happen to me all the time when i was younger. I used to call myself the messanger because i would feel obligated to run around playing he said she said. Dont allow it to happen. Just tell them that its not your place to be stuck in the middle and it makes you feel very uncomfortable when it comes to choosing one or the other because its not fair and if they make you feel that way or push you to choose the "best friend" of the two then they really arent freinds and are not taking your feelings into concideration. Just tell them its none of your business, its not your fight and you would rather keep to yourself. you dont have to pick either or, hang with one friend one day and the other the next. if one starts talking bad about the other let them know straight up that you dont want to get caught up in the situation and whatever they say about the other isnt going to make you like the other any less. if the refuse to stop just leave!
about the boy part, guys do not fight over silly things like i had it first or i saw him first. Guys are cool and actually listen to what you have to say, especially if its about friends or what you like or want to do when you get older. guys think girls are interesting and thats the cool part about it because even if you feel a little awkward at first they always have a way to make you feel like its ok its only natural to conect with people of the opposite sex even when a relationship isnt involved.

Because guys are cool and have much less drama than girls.. sometimes it can be very refreshing hanging out with guys since they talk about normal things like sports, while girls are obsessing over crushes or clothing or their hair..
And I'm sure hanging out with anyone else would be better than getting in the middle of your friends' fight!

Its normal sometimes because boys don't get in arguements becuase they dont take things seriously and thats prolly how u r. Guys make fun of eachother when theyre friends, think of it as the people in South Park. But now that youve gotten older uve matured thats prolly why your hanging out with guys now.

That's happened to me several times and it sure is a an uncomfortable situation to be in. You can't pick sides because the other person gets mad at you and you can't win. So you just have to say that you are neutral and that you don't care to discuss it any further, that's at least what I do regardless if it makes them mad or not.

umm..sweety..how old are you? guys r not "ick" in my opinion many girls are bitches (pardon my language). my girls are not but i liek to hang out wiht guys because there more real and down to earth and they can take a punch every once in a while. as for your friends, stay away until they get over themselves and go back to being friends. DONT get involved wiht them...GUYS R NOT "ICK"!!!!!!!!!!!

ok. i didnt understand that a whole lot..but if ur in a fight with ur friend and cant pick which side to be on. then dont!! lik seriously...if u lik both of them and they did nothing wrong to u, why ruin ur friendship...its not worth it...jsut tell them both that ur not chooseing sides. and if they hate you for it then they really are not your true friend!!
