My 6 year old daughter just peed on the rug cause she was mad at her sister. How do I get the urine out and what should I do with her? I was shocked.

Lay some baking soda on top of the urine. Then pour white vinegar over it. It will eliminate both the smell and the stain.
DO NOT USE CHLORINE BLEACH.
She is six years old. Just time her out in the corner for a few minutes.

I would either pay a professionall carpet cleaning service to clean the entire carpet or buy on of those Bissel spray and vac carpet cleaning machines, the kind that spray water and detergent on the rug and vacuum it up all at the same time.
You can get them at target for about $80.
I would introduce the 6 year old to the naughty stool
and give her 6 minutes on it and then make her say "sorry."
She needs to experience a bad consequence for this.
Nip this in the bud.

If the other methods don't work you should try "urine off" sounds stupid I know but it's for pet odors and it works. As for your daughter, tell her that it was unacceptable for her to do that. Explain that you didn't do make her mad, so why punich you and make you clean up the pee. First time, I would give a time out. Second time, I would tell her she has to clean it up.

Soak up as much as you can then take distilled white vinegar and make a 50/50 solution with warm water. Spray it on the spot till wet then soak it up until the towel only pulls clear. then spray till damp again and let dry. This works wonders. I have used it on cat, dog, and little boys accidents. Plus it is safe.

Boil or get water to a very high temperature and pour on the stain, than use a towel and pat it and the piss will lift right off. Do not bother buying anything people tell you.

i have a bissel machine and it works great. oh, that reminds me...you can rent those!!! my local drugstore (longs) rents them out. see if yours does too.
