Jesus came as God in flesh, sent to cleanse us of our sin.

Before the time of Jesus, it was tradition to offer a sacrificial animal for the sins of a person or nation. The animal was symbolically paying the debt for everything the person/nation did wrong. In other words, the payment/punishment ("wages" as it is put in the Bible) for anything we do wrong is death. By offering an animal, as specified by God, that would count as payment.

The sins of the world, however, are great and many. This is no secret, of course. So, instead of offering animals all the time, God sent His only Son, Jesus, to serve as the ultimate sacrifcial lamb. His death served to pay for our sins, and his resurrection showed us that He has overcome death and will keep us saved, or "paid up."

The only way to be completely paid up is to become "saved"; that is, to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior (accept his gift of sacrifice) and believe that He died and rose. It is also customary and commanded that we verbally acknowledge this, and follow Christ's example by being baptised (this is symbolic of dying to our old self and rising, cleansed, to a new life in Christ).

Yes, people are called to follow Him, but not all will choose to. Jesus is very clear that those who reject him will spend eternity in Hell, and those that accept Him will be protected by His blood and spend eternity in Heaven.

Hope that helps. :)

He changed my entire life, there is more to just being saved from hell. I have a relationship with the creator of the universe. And He loves me more than any human is capable of, He takes care of me physically, spiritually and emotionally. Tears come to my eyes just trying to explain in words what Christ means to me

It not a hell, like most people think.
He is saying, don't be a christian, be anything but a christian
Why they are closed minded, and choose words and use them against you for proof god exist, when they are too afraid to follow, if they were told buy him tomorrow to lay a side everything they have and follow him, they would scream its another cult,, lock him up

people can still go to hell. if u do bad in life and u don't repent then u can go to hell. jesus was born to tell people that they need to start paying attention to the lord. if u believe in jesus and god then u'll go to heaven. if u don't believe in them because u were never taught about them, then if u are a good person i think u will go to heaven.

What more do you need. The son of God comes down and shows the human race how to live and he teaches us to do so by example. Now we have no excuse about not knowing any better. We know wer should love God and love one another and follow God's will.

you mean a guy who suffered for all of the sins the world has committed and still will commit, so that we could live with God again...and allowed himself to die so that he could be resurrected and allow us to live again someday? I think that just knowing we'll live again in unblemished bodies is pretty cool...regardless of where we end up in our next life.

There's more... read the Gospels at least twice over... John, Luke, James and Matthew. If you don't want to at least read John twice.
