As a Catholic, I concentrate my talents on helping people that need help. I don't preach hatred and lies about other religions. As the saying goes - they will know we are Christians by our love. I don't go door to door telling people about my religion. I let people see my actions that do the talking for me.

It would be interesting to learn in what respects the questioner believes that Catholics are "more and more like" Jehovah's Witnesses.

Two major points of view seem irreconciliable:

Self-described Catholics routinely demonstrate hatred against Jehovah's Witnesses. Interestingly, such "hatred" should be expected by true Christians in this time of the end, and it actually helps identify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christ's true disciples:

(John 15:19) If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.

(Luke 6:22) “Happy are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and reproach you and cast out your name as wicked for the sake of the Son of man.

(1 Peter 4:4) Because you do not continue running with them in this course to the same low sink of debauchery, they are puzzled and go on speaking abusively of you.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

Also, it seems signficant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.”

No. I find Catholics to be much more reserved about their religion on the whole. I have never seen a Catholic knock on someone's door or stand in the street to convert another.

Now, back in the day...the medieval Roman Catholic Church and the atrocities of the crusades and other murders in the name of God...well that's another story, but still, not much like the JW's either.

In what way? How can a comment be said without proof? What exactly are you talking about? No one can be like a Jehovah's Witness unless they are one. If the catholics stick to the bible's principles and apply it, then they would actually want to become a JW.

I don't see any resemblance at all! I have never had a Catholic come to my door asking to share what they believe. I have never heard aJehovah's Witness say any hail Mary's. Probably the only thing we DO have in common is that we both believe in God. It begins to split at that point!

I don't think Catholics are like J.W.'s...

Never have I seen a Catholic dispute the concept of Jesus being God.

Never have I seen a Catholic "solicit" people (until they were drove mad...)

the only thing I can think of that sort of annoys me about Catholics is the whole concept of "praying to the saints"...Maybe I just mis-understand it, but either way --- They're not like J.W.'s.

Catholics still can be considered "Christian".
J.W.'s can't.

We are? Now, I am going to have to give up my yardwork on Saturday mornings to go door to door.

Seriously, there are HUGE differences between us and the JWs. As an example, we do not believe that life ends in the grave. They do. To me, that would be terrifying, that when you die, you lie in the grave, and you do not go to heaven.

Please substantiate your claims with facts so I can respond. To make incendiary opinions with no facts backing your claim is unproductive and leads to nothing but pablum spewing.
