Go to Wally World (wal-mart) and buy Hanes... you can't go wrong with good ole Hanes...

I would be careful about buying them at Wal-Mart. The tees there have inconsistent finishes on them. One tee will turn out fine, but the next one you may find the puff paint won't stay on either when first applied, or once it's washed.
I know this because I used to be a screen printer and people would bring their wal-mart shirts to me to do one of several different types of printing on. The results were ALWAYS inconsistent. Plus, the quality of the shirts were horrible( you can almost see through them). Just because they are Hanes, doesn't mean they are firsts. they are probably 2nds or 3rds. You really do get what you pay for. But if these projects are just a throw away kind of thing then go for it.
Maybe one of the suppliers the above writer noted would be good. The shirts at Michael's Craft store seem pretty good. The best thing would be to ask a local screen printer if you can buy from them. A fair offer to them would be $4 or $5 per shirt for adult sizes s-xl. 100% cotton is heavier (and less see through) than a 50/50 blend.
Good luck with it.....t-shirts are fun and everyone loves them.

Walmart, K-mart, and AC Moore all have them.

You can check out places like TJ Max and Marshalls for more elaborate shirts at low prices.

You can also order online at the links below.
