I care its why i asked the question! Boy some peeps are so rude so i will fill in the gaps. My rent has gone up cause my flatmates say I spend too much time on the computer. I told my flatmates when they purchased the dryer that our powerbill is gonna sky rocket. It has and now they blame me and my computer usage. Yet the dryer has been on most nights for at least an hour or two. If that dryer has a power consumption 100:1 against then my arguement is sound. If its less than 8:1 then im screwed....lol

The estimates given by Jules G are correct but the clothes dryer can also cause your electric bill to rise in another way. If you are in an air conditioned area then the cooling bill will go up as the a/c works harder to remove the stray heat from the dryer. And if the dryer is not properly vented to the outside then the bill will really skyrocket as you first pay for all the heat to be put into your home and then pay again to have it removed.

A computer running 24 hours per day only costs about $10-20 per month in electricity in the U.S., depending on where you live and the way you use the computer. A clothes dryer costs about 25-50 cents per HOUR, plus the additional cooling costs which in some cases can cause that rate to nearly double.

About 12 :1. 2500 Watts for the clothes dryer and 200 Watts for the computer.

By far a dryer uses more power than a computer.
