I'm trying to get more faith in God, but I will admit its hard. I'd like to hear your opinions and offer proof that's more than conjecture and wild theories.

It is not the fossils that are disputed, it is carbon dating methods. Creation people say that carbon dating is way off, and that dinosaurs and man were here together before the flood.. If I were to debate carbon dating, it would be a very detailed discussion and really not feasable here.

From the flood. Just look at these mountains that are in the wrong places, or the fact that in some mountain chains ( the southern Smokey's ) that the rocks on top are the very rocks that should be on the bottom. There was a great upheaval, which pushed up the bed rock in places. The water that the crust was floating on is now on top. Before the flood there had never been rain, the people did not believe Noah until it was to late. Look at maps of the foot prints of the dinosaurs, and you will see a very intriguing thing, they are not in the pursuit of food, but instead the are all headed for high ground. For those of you that struggle with the fossil record, think about this; if God had made the dinosaurs then why were there none on the ark? It is because man made them. Man at the time was not the mental pygmy that he is today.

Fossils happen when animals and plant matter are buried in a quick fashion. In our own time we have witnessed "quick burials" Mudslides, volcanic eruptions, floods-bearing sand and silt, sandstorms, and the like. Given time, a few hundred years or less, you will have a fossil record of these events. The earth is continually eroding- where do you think this matter goes? It does not go "Away" it just goes somewhere else. Same as our garbage the next millennium's carbon deposit... especially if it is buried what if its burned? the ash must o somewhere... nothing except spacecraft has left here.. perhaps then the world lost some weight but if it doesn't stay out there it is just in another form own here. perhaps burying something... just obvious fact pointed out in another perspective. Most people don't ever see what their eyes tell them... they just never put it together

I think Creationism should be thrown out and should be replaced with the idea that God created the first life and left it to evolve. Email me at average_atheist_shmoe@yahoo.com or IM me (AIM) at averageatheist66. Yeah, I'm an atheist, but I know a guy who's a Christian and believes the above statement.

the animals that created the fossils came from somewhere. i don't have all the answers. i assume that there will be an orientation class of some sort in heaven.

truthfully i struggle with faith as well. some of it is hard to grasp. but i know there is God. I know it my heart!

How about this. During the flood, the dead animals settled to the bottom and ended up under all kinds of different rocks and mud which hardened to create the different layers of sediment and their bones fossilized.

They say the great flood killed many animals, creating the fossils that we find today. They also say that the grand canyon was created by this flood in a matter of weeks.

If man evolved from Apes, how come there are still Apes.

I believe in the theory of Evolution, but the ape thing still bothers me.

They are actually Kentucky fried chicken bones that have been treated with chemicals to make them very big and then scientists planted them in the ground just to trick everyone.
