Never believe the rumors. I'm involved in a rumor spread by my friend that i like some guy, who i actually hate. If you've never heard her confirm those stupid rumors, then the rumor is just...a rumor. Not true. If you find out if the girl likes you when she stares at you a lot, laughes at your jokes, tries to make little moves, and things like that. Good luck!

Ask her out on a date. That's the best way unless you want to ask her yourself. And don't have your friends do it and don't ask her friends. Friends don't always know what's going on with how someone really feels. It'll just make things more complicated because if your friends ask she'll know you like her, but if she doesn't feel the same way it can suck. Just ask her out. The way she responds and interacts with you should be able to tell you. Good luck!

Bring the other guys name up next time you’re talking to her and await her response. If she gets all giddy then your SOL. Otherwise, man-up and just ask her out, before he gets a chance man, be pro-active!

First of all you can ask her but Ihave a better way for you to get her: Come to her and tell her : "Can I take you to dinner sometime"? and I bet she will agree. Dont worry about asking, do it in a friendly way and she will agree even if she likes another guy.
