God did not come down, -a- because he does not exist, and -b- because if Jesus( another myth) had said he was god, he would have had to prove it. It is not good to get upset about a fairy tail, so you should not even call him an ******.

He did not kill His own Son, we did. Why not come down Himself? Well for one thing, if He had none of us would be alive today. The brightness of His glory would have put an end to sin right then and there. Second, God is IMMORTAL, which means that He can not die! He knew that we would need a mediator, so His Son came and took our place and died the second death for us, all we have to do is believe in Jesus, and except His free gift, stop sinning and live for God.

I think that you need to either take a closer look at the Bible, or sit down with someone who is a Christian. I wish that there was a simple answer that I could give over the internet. If this is really something you struggle with, than look beyond the answers of Yahoo members. The best place to start is the Bible with the verse John 3:16, " For God so loved the world....". In actuality, God did come here Himself in the form of Jesus. He had to take the form of a human to fulfill the prophesies of the Holy Bible. If you really think God is an a##hole, just look at all He has given us and how we treat Him. He allowed Jesus to die so that we, as humans, could be saved from our sins. Also, you must know that there is only one Godhead, but three entities that make up that one Godhead, hence, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They are all one

In Matthew 20:28 it says "Just as the son of man came, not be ministered to to, but to minister and give his soul a ransom in exchange for many"
When adam and eve sinned, satan gave a very wrong accusation, By the deflection of adam and eve the question of whether Jehovahs servants really obeyed him out of love or might they all abandon God and follow the lead being given by satan arised.

Now God didnt need to prove anything to himsefl but. But so that these issues would never again disrupt the peace and well being of the universe, Jehovah has allowed ample time for them to be settled beyond all doubt.

Now , Romans5:12 says that"through one man (adam) sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they all had sinned"

Jesus chose to help God carry out his will, and prove once and for all that satan was liar. As we know , jesus was not powerless before his executioners. He said in John 10:17,18 " I surrender my soul... no man has taken it waway from me, but i surrender it of my own initiative.

God Is not a## hole, "he is a lover of Rightousness and justice" (psalms 33:5, Deuteronomy 32:4, Jeremiah 9:24) And the way he dealt with the situation upheld his righteusness and met the demands of absolute justice, and at the same time magnified his love and mercy

God killed his son (who was God by the way) so that YOU wouldn't have to die. God died for YOUR sins. Jesus died so that all you have to do is believe in God and ask him to forgive you for all the wrong that you have done and you'll be forgiven, just like that. So instead of calling him an a##hole, maybe you should be a little grateful that it wasn't you hanging on that cross.

No, God isn't an a##hole. Think about this as a possibility: Jesus didn't actually even exist. I know that idea challenges one of our most major assumptions in our (christian) society, but what if...?

What if Jesus was actually a myth (like a parable of a life) and the "death" of this mythical man was a spiritual one: dying to his old, selfish, naive self and being reborn--not physically--but spiritually as one who understands and lives in constant rapport with God...?

Wouldn't this make a lot of the contradictions in the Bible a lot less troubling?

Wouldn't it be refreshing to think that what the mythical man called Jesus did was something we could do--instead of setting ourselves up for a lifetime of trying to be like the character described in the Bible, knowing we never can be, and living instead under the thumb of guilt?

If you know about the history of the so-called "Good Book," you will know that a lot of the contemporary Christian (namely, the gnostic) texts were tossed aside and gnostics themselves were persecuted and killed. Instead of having a message that represented a cross-section of Christian believers (including those who saw the life of Christ as a valuable and meaningful Myth), men like Irenaeus and Tertullian and those who attended the Nicean council decided what would be "acceptable" for future generations of believers to believe! Not surprisingly, their decisions led to an increase in their own power and a monopoly on viewpoints. Thankfully, the texts at Nag Hammadi were found. And there are many brave and insightful scholars who work hard to dig beneath the veneer of accepted "truth."

I know that all of this will anger a lot of people. Trust me, my roots are fundamentalist. But don't you think God gave us our brains because we're supposed to USE them? Learn more about the history of Christianity and you will be shocked and your eyes will be a little more open. And maybe you'll be able to get to know God a little better when you toss aside the dogma.

Yes God is a loving. If you love people it means you love the God. Don't condemn the name of God. Call me an asshole, ***** or stupid, just don't use God's name. He didn't kill his own son. He gave his son in this world. Jesus agreed to die, because of our sins. We only have 1 God. Jesus is his son, but in the bible said, For god so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Without God, it might be you aren't in this world too.. Anytime if he wants to get your life, he can do it. We are just only humans. God is a powerful.

Well, if you knew anything about what you are asking, you would know that a major Christian believe is that Jesus was God "in the flesh." So, God did come down himself. No comment on the rest of your question/comment.

God created everything, and he did so just because he/she wanted to. But when humans did not appreciate it he had to do something to get their attention. Please be careful, what you say about him. He hears all things. I would venture to say that you have a problem but it is not with god. You can blame three individuals for your problems, yourself (1), other people (2) and the devil (3) not god. God can on the other hand help you over come all these three just pray....
