Yes! And it can prove to be quite exhilarating. However, as you can imagine, night surfing carries with it many dangers like sharks, injuries, and becoming lost at sea. The trick is to surf under a full moon, wear very bright clothing (tee-shirt and baggies), surf with a group (separate enough for safety), and be sure to hoot and holler the whole session to let your friends know where you are.
Avoid surfing outer reefs or during a building swell as things could quickly get out of hand. Sandy bottoms are always a plus.

It is not safe to surf at night because there is no one around, and you might drown in the water.So i recommend not to surf at night on the beach.

We do, on full moons, but there are pier lights and it is totally lit up. There are heaps of sharks tho, and people fishing all around us.
