Where/what is the system folder in MAC os x 10.4.6?

I'm trying to install some new fonts on my mac, but the sites say to drag the downloaded files to my 'system folder' but what the heck is that exactly??

It's a folder named "System" on your Macintosh HD.

Macintosh HD > System > Library > Fonts
