Physically, she is going to be fine - there is not much to it and it is not painful! Emotionally, she may need your support - she's lucky to have a friend who is so willing to stand by her thru any situation!

I think to have to offert support but let her rest a lot, mentally and physically. Be here for her is the best you can do.

You might want to find a good counselor for her later. I don't know the circumstances of her having to have one. I only know that for whatever reason the abortion has to be done, the Mother often feels emotionally distraught later from experience.

Just let her be....I had to have a D&C when I lost a child, and It was just like having an abortion and it was painfull and uncomfortable and makes you hurt...so really just tend to what she asks you for, and if there is nothing, really give her time...
