I used to think I lost an abnormal amount of hair in the shower also. Turns out it is totally normal. My hair clogs the drain and I have to throw it away after every shower. My brush is full of hair at the end of the day. I researched it and found it's normal to lose around a hundred hairs every time you shower. Then you lose more when you brush your hair etc. Those of us who color or perm our hair lose even more and it's still normal. You only need to worry of it is coming out in clumps or if you start losing so much your hair is thinning. So no worries! I don't remember where I found all of this info, but I double checked with my doctor and he said it's all true. So relax, you are ok!

If you hair doesn't feel any thinner you are fine.
If you have real long hair that can cause it too look like a bunch of hair in the drain or...if it's hot where you are it's normal to lose hair in the summer.
Brush your hair before you wash it. That helps and you want notice it as much. Human lose about 100 hairs a day.
When I wash my hair in the shower I can feel the hair falling and even go down my legs.......lol
It feels like big loads of hair. It's when I'm raising the conditioner out too.
Your normal just don't worry about it. Stress can cause you to lose hair

Your hair is always growing and always falling out. Combing, brushing blow drying etc removes loose hair that is still on your scalp. The longer and thicker your hair is the more noticeable the fall out will be. As long as it is not coming out in clumps or sections, and your hair is not thinning, your likely experiencing normal shedding. If you are really concerned mention next time your at your doctor's

It's normal to lose about 100 strands a day. If you feel like it's more it could be from stress or not getting enough nutrients. Try adding a multi-vitamin to your diet and getting more rest. I've been going through the same thing.

Don't know for sure, but I'm guessing slight malnutrition. Have you beem extra stressed (depletes nutrients faster) or not eating properly? Or both? But in any case, if it's bad enough that you're worried, I would be asking a Doctor.

You should ask you doctor to check your thryoid gland, many women have to take thyroid supplements do to underactive thyroid. If it is underactive, it can cause many symptoms, including hair loss. A simple test will let you know. It is easily fixed with 1 small pill a day.

It really could be a number of reasons you may need a protein conditioner to help strengthen your hair or it may possibly be a health condition. You need to consult with a professional.

It could be that you are not getting enough B Vitamins or Biotin in your diet. Also, try to eat some eggs. That always helps.
