Whether you've lost it naturally (ie baldness) or through an accident, the biggest help is going to be through massage. You want to encourage the folicals to produce new hair by increasing the blood flow to them. use your fingers or or a massager with rubber nodules, but move the skin in small circles by pushing it around. If you rub across the skin, you may break off any new growth. Also try adding a few drops of rosemary (essential oil) to a base oil (such as grape seed) as this helps encourage blood flow.

is it from medication, illness or just going bald with age etc?

If its the first two then I agree it is time, scalp massage and patience is about the best i can say. Get some nice smelling conditioner and massage the scalp, if its fine hair and your trying to thicken it, dont brush it when wet as it will just break off.

I also recommend a baby brush as they are super soft and very cheap, much better than using any other combs etc.

Good luck

Trimming regularly can help a great deal. Also there are pills you can take that can help it grow faster. Visit a GNC store to find some. Keeping your roots healthy helps cause that's where it starts. I also hear getting your head massaged helps too. Good luck! I've gone through growing my hair out too.

Trimming, pills, and protein won't help. Trimming will only get rid of split ends - it won't create new growth. Pills are usually based on old wives tales - but vitamins may help. Lack of protein can harm hair, but extra protein won't help it.

You don't say the cause for your hair loss or short hair, so it's hard to recommend something other than eating well. Good luck to you. : )

Taking natural supplements like kelp tablets/capsules helps speed up hair growth. My hair was really short and never used to grow until i started taking them. I now have really long hair.

You actually can't.
But it's very fashionable for men now to be bald, and even if they're young it can be really cool...

My uncle has been probably very upset about this, as one day, I happened to go to his bathroom and there was dozens of special shampoos and creams to try to cure this, and I can tell you his situation is only getting worse.

Just get used to it, wear a hat, and shave if you think it's not nice this way....

Time, patience, and eating foods rich in protein. Don't bother with shampoos or conditioners that have vitamins, keratin or protein in them, they can't penetrate your hair, with the exception of pro-vitamin B5.
