No, 12 is way too young to be dating and especially someone that much older than she is. There is a world of difference between the maturity level of a 12 year old and the maturity level of a 16 year old. Also, the expecatations of a 16 year old in a relationship are probably way more than a 12 year old is ready for.

I would have to say no - they should not "go out"
Law dictates that there may to be a 2 year gap, nothing more. This is due to the maturity level both physically and mentally.
Ask yourself what a 16 yr old what a 12 yr old for anyway. If you were 16, would you date a 12 yr old?

You already know the answer to this one or you wouldn't be so concerned about your friend. A sixteen year old should not even be interested in a 12 year old child. Tell him to find a girl his own age. Tell your friends parents or have your parents tell them. Tell her to run the other way before she is faced with a situation that she does not know how to handle. Most teenaged boys want sex. If she goes out with him, he will make this evident immediately.

Absolutely not! Your friend is way to young to start dating. What is wrong with this 16 year old guy. Tell her to tell him to find someone closer to his own age. She sure doesn't need a boyfriend at 12 years old!!!!

Well if he knows how old she is then no. I think it would be good for her to have a relationship with someone older for the experience. Its fun. She can learn a lot from it. So I say go ahead as long as she stays smart and not have sex.

no.. really she shouldn't trust me. I know she probably thinks its cool but really think about it why would you be 16 dating a 12 year old. Think about when you will be 16 you wouldn't date a 12 year old. my god. NO WAY. That guy must be a loser. He should date someone his own age.

I dont think its a matter of what people think it depends on what type of guy he is and what type of girl she is. She has to remember sex is the main thing in a guys head so she'll have to watch out. I mean it doesnt seem like a good idea but what you guys think goes.

if I was your friend before things got too serious I would set down some ground rules and explain how far she is ready togo ect.
don't jump in too quickly.
make sure the guy knows shes 12....ect....
be careful
