You did what you felt is right. Telling her right away you want to be freinds still maybe rubbing salt in the wound. Wait a while, Maybe 10 days to 2 weeks then tell her.

If you still want to be friends then yes you should tell her that if she can handle being friends. But I wouldn't tell her you just need some time unless that is really the way you feel. You are much better off being 100 percent honest with her or she will throw it in your face at probably an inappropriate time later if you lie to her and it will hurt her even more when she finds out the truth. good luck.

Give her some time. But not too much. Maybe drop her a text or call her. No face to face confrontations right about now.
Let her cool down and accept the fact that you feel you two just aren't right. Maybe talk to her again in a group setting so it isn't so personal and there's no pressure to have a deep convo or bring up the relationship at all.

Leave her alone for a while.....or as long as she needs to steam off. Don't say lets be friends because they'll just make her mad. Just as to start all over again and then that would be the proper way to progress to being friends. You maay think women are funny but we have to deal with much more than men do.

Give her time to get over the break-up. After a few months, you can try to get an idea of whether or not you could be friends. But prepare yourself for her not wanting that... friendships after relationships can sometimes be tough.

Dude you broke up with her...reasons unknown....it would be easier on her to keep your distance unless she asked for your friendship first...it can be hard to know someone doesn't want you but keeps in touch reminding you of that...puts salt in the wound so to speak...let her make that decision whether should can handle it or not.

Well, I've ha a guy break up with me, and he hasn't talked to me since. I think he's a real jerk, if that helps. If you really feel that bad, you still like her.

it'll be more difficult for both of u. i mean there is a chance of forgetting when u're apart but seeing each other and not thinking about it is a torture. if u're convinced that it's better for u, let it go the way it is
