You will need your ordinary government-issued ID, such as a passport, driver's license, non-driver ID, military ID, etc. for yourself. You may be asked to provide proof of date of birth for the baby, especially if the baby will be traveling in your lap. If you don't have proof of date of birth the airline may require you to purchase a ticket for the baby, especially if it looks like it may be over 2 years of age.

If you are traveling on an international flight, you will need passports for both you and the baby. Children are no longer included on parents' passports so you'd need a passport for the baby as well.

I would bring a birth certificate. If it's an international flight, you will need to get a passport for your child.

Hey, for medical reasons at least, always carry identification on any child that you have with you..A copy of the birth certificate would be nice.

Man that would be an awful big light to be able to actually get on it. And then being that big, it would probably burn you and your baby to death. Bring death certificates.

I would ask the airline you are flying with.
