They get chemothearpy to try to put it in remission. A lot depends on the age of the person and their health otherwise.

Depending on the age of the person, the older the harder to treat because the immune system is unable to beat the disease, and of course at this stage the cancer cells have metathesized ( have spread). The lymphatic system is the immune system and since it is late stage, there is a small percentage of remission . But as I have noticed, it all depends on the patients' strength (mind) some can live longer than what is given them.

depends on what type lymphoma but generally speaking loss of appetite with serious weight loss, extreme fatigue, fevers, infections, aches and pain, trouble breathing and death

I think late stage is when many lymph nodes are involved. Not sure what can be done.
