When you get bite by a mozy you are getting the anti coagulant from their sucking tube. It helps them get more blood by preventing the blood fro clotting. When your body gets the signal that you are being invaded by a foreign substance it right away sends anti histamines to that site to battle the menace. When the histamines and anti histamines fight you get a localized swelling or inflammation in the site. If you have a greater then normal reaction to mozzy bites you will get a larger reaction and there for a larger lump. To relive the swelling and help remove the itch you can use a wide variety of products , both over the counter or if it is sever enough you can get a product from your doc. How ever you can all so use home remedy's. If you have aloe Vera juice in the house you can mix 2 ozs of that with 6 drops of lavender essensual oil. Shake it well and put it in a mist bottle and every time it starts to itch spray it. You can also use ice to reduce the lump and it will make the itch let up. The worst thing you can do is scratch because you continue to damage the site and it will encourage the histamines to collect in that spot and make the itch worse.

When the mosquito stabs her needle-like mouthparts through the skin of her victim, she injects her saliva -- teeming with digestive enzymes and anticoagulants. The first time a person is bitten, there is no reaction. With subsequent bites, the person becomes sensitized to the foreign proteins, and small, itchy, red bumps appear about 24 hours later. This is the most common reaction in young children. After many more bites, a pale, swollen hive, or wheal, begins to appear within minutes after a bite -- followed by the red bump 24 hours later. This is the most common reaction in older children and adolescents.
With repeated mosquito bites, some people begin to become insensitive again, much as if they had allergy shots. Some older children and adults get no reaction to mosquito bites (unless they go for a long time without being bitten -- then the process can start again). Other people become increasingly allergic with repeated stings. They can develop blistering, bruised, large inflammatory reactions. For these people, avoiding being bitten is a particularly good idea.

the reason the swell is due to an local allergic reaction. Place ice on the area and it should help with swelling and itching. Plus my grandma always swore by Avon's Skin So Soft oil. Just put in on a cootn ball and rub on area.

You get bumps from the bite because the part of the mosquito that is put into your arm causes your body to produce Histamines and that is where the bumps come from. how to make it stop itching? I rub alcohol on them. Don't scratch them either, that only makes the bump bigger. So rub it instead. Trust me it works.

The only thing that helped me was cortizone creme, because I get huge bumps from them to. It stops the itching almost immediately and the swelling starts to go down shortly after.

If the bites are under the knee i could wager chiggers. You get chiggers from walking in overgrown grass. A at domicile therapy for chiggers is soaking in a bleach water tub.(no extra advantageous than a cup or 2 of bleach to an entire tub. this ought to help with the itching. or you could dab a drop of sparkling nail polish on each and each spot to assist with the itching besides. If the bites are extra unfolded then you truly've got mattress bugs. sure they are actual. attempt washing your bedding and disinfecting you mattress. If all else fails see your community well being care expert.
