I have heard of the half your age plus seven (age/2 + 7=x) rule. It isn't perfect since it clears a 20 year old to date a 17 year old (no bueno for legal reasons). It starts making sense at 22 I suppose (making your mate 18 at that point).

I am just curious what kind of thoughts you folks may have.

At 31 my personal range is +/- 5 years. Look forward to your feedback. Thanks.

At 21 years old...I will not really date a guy that much younger than me...But about 18-20 is fine...and older I'd say maybe 10 years older.

I'm 39; this would clear me to date someone 26.5 years old...that would be alright imo. I've always dated guys much younger than me...although, my sweetie is 38, and he's more perfect for me than anyone I've ever met, so maybe that's telling me something? Is there a formula like this for intelligence quotient, lol? That might be even more important than age to me. ;)
