Why should you settle for less just because you do not have someone to sit across from you for a meal? Many, many people
dine quite pleasantly alone...enjoying the atmosphere, the meal,
the ambivance. Bring along a book or just enjoy the solitude. It
also is a wonderful way to meet new people as well--offer to buy
someone a drink or a cup of coffee...Bon Appetit!

Some prix fix restaurants have a singles table available call to find out. If not grab a good book . You may feel a little uncomfortable at first, but realize most people are far more interested in their own evening to care what other diners are doing. Most food critics dine alone

I used to be a travel agent and traveled a lot by myself. I always ate in fine restaurants. I personally would never take a book though. You see a lot of business men eating by themselves. I had a client that used to tell me about all the wonderful restaurants he ate in and he was always alone.

I did witness recently a woman come into a restaurant alone. They sat her facing the wall. She went to the other side and said, I don't want to look at the wall, I want to see what is going on. Can't blame her. There's nothing wrong with going out to eat by yourself. After all you're there to eat, not to talk.

Yeah, I have. It felt kinda awkward at the moment but relaxing at the same time.

If you see someone that you're interested in just get the guts to say "hey, you wanna eat and chat at a fine restaurant?"

I have been a "Road Warrior" 26 years. I visit many cities, month to month. I have no problem going to fine resturants
& not so fine rest/cafe's, alone.
"GOT TO EAT " ya know....
Some places do not like me taking a table, but tough. I just go early like 5:30pm.
Just try your local Red Lobster or whereever and ask if they serve dinner at the bar or lounge. It's easy and fast.

I've never gone to a fine restaurant alone, but I eat lunch alone all the time. While meals can be a social opportunity, sometimes it is nice to eat alone and just observe your surroundings.

i used to be too intimidated to try this. whilst i began out vacationing heavily for artwork, my nutrients have been paid for as a organization cost, I additionally did no longer continually have a sort of decrease priced eating places in the area of my inn, so I did what you ask frequently. on the beginning up I felt awkward, yet i found out i became the only one which became questioning approximately me. i myself have been given to the place I enjoyed it. there is a few thing very intense-high quality approximately eating properly....on my own, and being pleased with it. i urge all females to be mushy with this. Now that I no longer do it, I sort of omit it.

I believe you can do it, that seems sad to others sometimes, but you shouldn't feel bad about it.
But if you are gonna be there looking around, and wondering, why is everyone looking at me? what are they thinking? isn't it patetic i have to come alone? then don't do it, because you will get to feel bad your self.
You have to go, to feel secure, to enjoy the meal, you can spend time for your self, think of the things you have in your mind, enjoy the good wine, and have a good time with your self, that you deserve.
Remember that when you feel insecure and bad about your self, everyone can notice, and if you feel secure, and don't mind what hapen around you, what others think of you, then everyone can notice as well.

Of course I had, they had excelent food and great service, besides, I didn't need to spend to take a date there, that's why we have taco bell and KFC...

If you enjoy the food and the environment there is no need to go with someone.
