It seems to be saying that Jesus and John believed that Jesus was the only way to be saved, to make it to heaven and that no other belief, religion or person except Jesus provided a way to heaven.

John 14:6___Because Jesus faithfully did God’s will on earth, even to sacrificing his life in behalf of the human family, God appointed him to be “the Chief Agent of Life.” He also came into the world to “bear witness to the truth” and to make known God’s purposes. (Acts 3:15; John 18:37) He alone is able to show members of the human family the way back to the beautiful highway that leads on to the full enjoyment of a happy life in the earthly paradise of God.
1 John 5:12___Jesus Christ introduced a new and essential element for gaining eternal life in the sense of being an intermediary or go-between, but he is such in an administrative sense as well. He is God’s High Priest who can effect full cleansing from sin and liberation from sin’s death-dealing effects (Heb 3:1, 2; 4:14; 7:23-25; 8:1-3); he is the appointed Judge into whose hands all judgment is committed, so that he judiciously administers his ransom benefits to individuals among mankind according to their worthiness to live under his kingship (Joh 5:22-27; Ac 10:42, 43); through him the resurrection of the dead also comes. God so ordained to use his Son, “there is no salvation in anyone else, for there is not another name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must get saved.”—Ac 4:12; compare 1Jo 5:11-13.

Yes, Jesus is the only way. In John 14:6 He does say, No man can come to the Father, but by me. But in John 6:44 he also says this:...No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him. So what He is saying in both of these verses is that His Father is the one who does the calling. And once called we can only go to the Father through Him (Jesus). I hope you understand this. Now 1 John 5:12 He is speaking about the millennium (the thousand year reign), the life spent with Jesus during the millennium, spoken in Rev 20:4. But the rest did not live until the thousand years were up in Rev 20:5.

Doesn't seem like you need explaining, you pretty much hit the nail on the head. Jesus is the only way to heaven.

it is my belief that God will not accept sinfull people.Jesus was without sin. God loved us sinners so much he sent Jesus to modal a perfect life,to teach what God would have us do,and to be a blood sacrafice for the sin i have commited.providing the only way i can face God.debaters can suggest other meanings but this is what i believe no matter what. if there was nothing to it why would it be so controversial think about it
