remember can be damages in the device with more amperes is not it???

the device came with 4amp 250 v. isit is a fuse...I am sorry it is a fuse :-)

the fuse has the purpose of protecting the electronic equipment from harmfull operation by disconecting it from the power suply.so a 4 amp fuse means that the device shouldn't use more power than that, and when it reaches that value the fuse burns out , protecting it from damage.if you replace it with a higher value you increase the threshold on which the protection kicks in.so it's advisable to find a 4 amp fuse , but you can use the 5 amp one till then,provided that you realize that between a consumption of 4-5 amps the device is relativelly un protected.

As a short-term solution until you can get the proper 4A one it should be ok.

Yes, using a value higher than the one recommended gives less protection.

4A is not a very common value. You may have to search a bit. Or get one from the dealer or manufacturer.

If it says 4 amp and you put in a 5 amp you could damage the item, start a fire, or hurt someone badly. Please get the correct fuse.
