Try ice, ibuprophen, and keep it steady and give it a few days to a week.

I do not think that you want to get rid of the thumb that is jamed..

What you want is to get rid of the hurting.. If you want, you could put a small splint on it. This would be to stop you from bumping it. Leave it alone and it will quit hurting in about four days. Maybe sooner.

If you want to get trid of it, chop it off, then you will really have a problem.

if it is truley jamed you can try pulling it and this hurts but it will pop back into place place Ice on it for the swelling Or you also can leave it alone the swelling will go down it will hurt a couple of days best bet soak it in ice 10min then wait 20 min do it again

good luck i have one from a football injury for about three months now still swollen and a little sore at times.
i pull and pop all the time and it feels better for a short time after, but i think the best you can do is immobilize as much as possible and wait. you can allways ice it down and take tylenol

Have some one pull it straight out from your hand to get it straightened out then use an ice pack while you elevate it.

You can only wait until it heals. Fingers take a good long time to stop hurting too.
