I follow the Bible. I try my hardest to be what Christ would consider a Christian, but I will eternally fall short as long as I try to be Christian. I have to rely on my faith to save by the grace of God that is granted to me through the belief that Christ is the sacrificial lamb that died upon the cross to rise on the third day and claim victory over death for not only my sins, but the sins of humanity. I pray that Christ counts that as Christian enough to be granted eternal salvation.

Depends on what you mean by "true". If "true" means "perfect" than such a christian does not exist. A christian in reality is a sinner saved by grace.

This is how we can become a follower of Jesus Christ.

Recognizing that we have sinned (done things that hurt ourselves and others and dishonored God).

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23

Asking for God's forgiveness and accepting His gift of eternal life.

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23

Acknowledging Jesus as Lord of our lives and allowing Him to direct us and shape our character.

". . . if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that

God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9

"And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus. . ." Colossians 3:17

Becoming a Christian means entering into a new life filled with joy and purpose.

Christian = a footstep follower of Jesus Christ; one who gives first place in one's life to doing God's will and preaching about God's kingdom as Jesus Christ did.

Yes, I devote about 30 hours each month to the worldwide Bible preaching and teaching work. (Matthew 28:19,20) I strive to live by the commands as set out in the Bible to show love to my neighbor (Matthew 22:37-39) and love to my fellow believers. (John 13:34,35) I also am no part of the world (John 17:16) and therefore refuse to participate in it's political affairs or wars. (Isaiah 2:2-4) As a true Christian I read and study the Bible daily. (Psalm 1:1-3)

I am but I wish to ask a better question to help assist you.

"Satan believes in God too... what makes a self professing Christian better than the devil? The answer should be whether one has given one's life over to serve Christ. The mark of a Christian is one who follows Christ.

Yes, I KNOW that I am. The Bible makes it clear that, knowing what I believe, I am truly saved by God.
oh, and for person two comments up: you CAN NOT be an atheist and a satanist. They contradict each other. If you are a satanist, then satan is your god, and therefore you are not an atheist.
