I would say Avast!. I don't have much experience with pc-cillin but I can tell you Norton is not the best just the most common. The price you pay for Norton is way to much. The good points with Norton though are the added feature such as the registry scans and stuff like that. Thoughs things are are no reason to get Norton, they can be found for free or cheap from other places. With Avast! its found things that Norton cannot detect. Also Norton takes a huge amount of your computers resources i.e. processor time, ram. Also Avast! Home edition is free, Professional carries a price but all you will need is home.

one problem I have had with Norton and McAfee is trying to contact them when you really need to...they make it almost impossible..
but McAfee has a few people on line chat that are there 24/7 and they will try and help you all they can for free..
so I have switched to McAfee.
for now..

do your own home work, look around and do some digging....

good luck....

For me... It's eset nod32 that can be downloaded at eset.com... However the download's only a 30-day trial. On my pc it uses 17mb ram and less than 1% cpu usage...
