Once upon a time, I had just been heartbroken to find out that I had tragically misunderstood what a third party had told me about a certain person's marital status - and here on the basis of my understanding, I had proceeded to fall in love with that certain person... Thank God I found out he was married before anything actually happened (e.g. me asking him out).

Anyway, I decided I needed to make myself get out and meet new men to get over this guy, and since my situation where I am doesn't permit me to meet large numbers of new people easily, I figured the way to go was the Internet.

That was a bit over 6 years ago. I met a number of people, one in particular. We decided not to get hitched, and our friendship (just that, no more) has survived even his marrying someone else. I consider that a favorable outcome.
