Yoghurt is a dairy food and like all processed dairy foods, has a shelf life. The stores print the 'best by' date on it, and while you can go a couple of days beyond that, it tastes better if you use it before the expiry date. If you have some yoghurt tht is dated 2003, get rid of it. It is not good to eat.

Un opened or not any kind of dairy products are only good for about a week past the expiration date.

And why do you have a 3 yr old yogurt still in your fridge?

I would say NO....yogurt only lasts about one month. Each container should have an expiration date and be good for about 7 days past that.

Um. No. There should be a little printed date near the top of the yogurt. After that date, don't eat it.

And clean out your fridge. Geez.

Toss it. Expiration dates are put there for a reason. Better to be safe than sick, after all how much could it have cost you? A whole dollar?

It lasts for 12 years and it will still be good

Oh my God no!

Yoghurt doesn't go off as soon as the sell by date, anything upto 2 weeks after it is usually fine.

Don't eat that ancient yoghurt whatever you do!!!
