It might be your straightening iron ,or it might be your hair. I had the same problem for a while. Get a tougher straightening iron. I used to have Remmington wet2straight, but it wasn't very efficient, so I got another one that a friend recommended, and it works much better. I suggest going for the expensive ones, because theres a bigger chance that they'll work.
A couple really good ones are chi, sedu, and GHD's. try googling them.
Also if you don't already, use a heat protection spray and a little hairspray.
The problem also might be that your hair just refuses to be silky straight. In that case you can't really do anything about that, just work with what god gave you (wavy hair)
G'luck.

grr... i have straight hair, and i absolutely loove wavy hair.. lol funny how we love what we don't have ^^
i don't really think there's a way to get around changing your natural hair texture without some damage.. you should give the salon straightening a chance again, but look for a really good system. and make sure you condition the ends of your hair every time you shower! a trim once in a while will get rid of split ends too=]

To keep wavy hair straight you do have to have your hair staightened often. Also blow drying your hair with a straightening brush helps keep it looking naturally straight. The shampoos aren't really what they claim..so to keep those straight locks continue making those trips to the salon and always keep your hair trimmed especially after having your hair straighten...be sure to use strenghtening shampoos!!!

Your hair grows from a curly hair gland and could continuously advance out that way. there is not any thanks to have clearly instantly hair until eventually your hair grows from instantly hair shafts. Soooo. to respond to your question... NO. follow the hair iron. i exploit an fairly large curling iron so as that my hair comes out instantly with a contact of body. try it.

This is a little bit overboard, but you could have your hair follicles put in to a different shape by having surgery on your scalp. . .

Get the maxi glide... it works wonders without leaving your hair dried out.
