Some women will continue to have periods but they are by no means "normal" periods. They will be less in flow and of shorter duration. Most women, however, will not have their periods at all.

You could possibly have one period if you were pregnant - but usually not more than that. And the period you do have would usually be lighter and not the same as a regular period. If you think you're pregnant but you've had 2 or more periods since you thought you conceived, you either miscarried or aren't pregnant. The best thing to do is see your doctor and get a blood test.
Good luck!

lol ok it is not physically impossible. There are women that have periods even regular periods during their pregnancy, some women will even ovulate and can become pregnant with more than one baby if they have more then one uterus, I know this from expierence. There are also women that do not have regular periods but will spot and clot their entire pregnancy. A lot of different things are possible, I would talk to your doctor to hear if that is what might be going on.

I believe in some cases it is possible to still have periods when pregnant, my niece didn't know she was pregnant until she was 5-6months gone as she was still having periods so yes it is possible to be pregnant and still have normal periods.

The question, can you get pregnant on your period, is a question that all nervous women ask throughout their sex lives. So-can you get pregnant on your period? The answer to this burning question is different for every woman and every girl. And just as the answer to the question, is it possible to get pregnant while on your period is different for every woman, so are her hormonal balances and thus her menstrual cycle. Although there are some general consistencies when it comes to pregnancy and period, essentially it comes down to the women's physiology. So yes. It is possible to get pregnant while on your period.

yes it is...actually many women dont suspect pregnancy becauce they still recieve their periods! if you've had unprotected sex and think you're pregnant take a home test, or go to the doctor or planned parenthood....
however just because it DOES happed does NOT make it normal, bleeding or "spotting" during pregnancy isnt a good thing and although some times it doesnt harm the mom or the baby it can be a sign of miscarriage or ecoptic pregnancy! so like i said go get a pregnancy test, and if your bleeding/ spotting tell your OB/GYN

Yes it is, I've got a relative who had normal periods the whole way through her pregnancy (which is why she didnt know).
If you suspect you are pregnant (regardless of whether you're having periods or not) get a test done asap!

i've seen this answered before as "yes"........... and i suppose that's the technically true answer, given the exact wording of teh question. i can't totally discount it, it can happen. however it is so totally rare that you should, until your stomach starts to unexpectedly swell and start moving by itself, count a loss of periods following intercourse as pregnancy, and continuation of them as non-pregnancy.
i work (currently) in a hospital department that administers radioactive material to people, including some quite strong therapeutic doses, and that's the criteria we base things on...... have you had a period in the last 28 (or sometimes, 10) days? if not, give us a urine sample that we can dot onto a ClearBlue HCG kit and see what the hormone test says.
(Having had the period in that time says "no baby" to us, and therefore safe to continue the dosing - it's even legally binding insofar as I can tell, in that if we've done that test we're covered against malpractice even without an HCG result)

Yes you can get your period the whole nine months of your pregnancy, my mum had hers when pregnant with my big sister, she did not realise she was pregnant until the 7 month when she went into labour, it is possible and can be very confusing.

I'll give it to you straight, it's possible to have periods, but they're extremely altered. It will be extremely lighter then typical ones, and depending on you they could be a light pink in color the whole time or a dark maroon looking color. typically, you can tell if it's like a "normal period". so if your periods are coming as scheduled, or the same duration as before and color, then I'd say don't worry!
