He's an illusionist. By definition, that means he's not performing any act of "real" magic, he's just making us think he is. The same with Criss Angel. Personally, I find them both to be overblown and shallow. To answer your question, yes, David Blaine is real, he's a real person who performs illusions for a living.

I am pretty positive that David Blain is in fact a real person. I'm not sure your question is worded correctly. If you are asking if hi magic is real then my answer is no. Magic is just an illusion although it is very entertaining.

Some of his stunts are real, and others are illusions.
The block-of-ice one was an illusion.
The magic tricks are illusions. The guy is not supernatural, just talented/foolhardy.
