We are scheduled to fly those 2 routes in August. I've looked at airlinequality.com and there are no reviews on that route.

Have YOU flown either route, or do you know of a website that has a review of either route? If so, post immediately!

THANKS!

If you are going to answer, please have either an EXACT or similar match to the route. Mentioning about a route from Houston to Kona won't be of service to me.

We did the SFO to KOA route and it was a disaster. We blew the nose tire and they kept us on the airliner for 4 hours. They did serve free drinks, but in rather short order we somehow ran out of electricity. It was hot and extremely humid that day. It took them 1 1/2 to get a portable unit out there to generate some electricity and get the AC to cool off the plane. As people took advantage of the free drinks, they became boisterous, angry and obnoxious, demanding to be taken off of the plane Then when they finally got a mechanics crew out there, it sounded like the plane was falling apart. Once they realized that it was more involved than simply changing a tire, they took the LUGGAGE out of the belly before they disembarked the passengers! They brought one of those large portable staircases and made us walk across the tarmack back to the terminal. To let us in, they had to open an employee emergency exit which took another hour with us standing out there without ear protection with jets speeding toward take-off. The final insult, they wouldn't give us meal vouchers and we were all starving!

We used to use UAL almost exclusively for all of our domestic and international flights. We racked up enough miles to go to the South Pacific, Europe and Japan. But, once we used up most of the miles, we stopped flying them because every experience we had after the SFO-KOA flight was just about as bad.

I've flown nearly half a million miles with United over the last ten years. The service on every flight was only as good as the attendants scheduled to work the flight. I've experienced the entire service spectrum during my days of transcontinental flying, but the most important thing is... they got me there and back home safely everytime. I believe that speaks for itself.

Sorry, I haven't flown that exact route. But I went to Kona a month ago from Houston and it wasn't bad, got a great price. The flight sucked....lol, be prepared to buy your own food on the long trip. If you've never been to the Kona airport you'll be suprised, it looks like little grass huts. Its all open so I hope it doesn't rain when you go... but it hardly rains there. Have a great trip, just thought I'd post what I know from my experience.

I have flown from LA to Honolulu twice, on United Airlines, and the service was very good. I am supposing since it is the same airline, it would still be good. United is the only way I fly!
