If you knew their ssn#, you could look up their credit history once the bankruptcy has been discharged. I should say when you think it's been discharged. Just an fyi, in case you don't know already, once a year you are allowed to look up your credit history w/o being charged. Whatever the credit bureau's are, for some reason I can't remember what three bureau's are out there, but anyhow that's one way. If you are trying to be secretive about it, you could become your own little P.I and snoop around in their house or room to see what you find or you could hire a real P.I. and do it that way. Hope this helps.

I'm not sure that it would be any of your business if some one else filed bankruptcy. If it's some one you intend to get into some financial situation with, then you should know that person well enough not to need to ask that question. If you don't know them that well, then you have no need to get into any situation with them.

Stay out of some one else's affairs.

If you have a right to know, it will appear on their credit report. If you don't, you could find it in the court records if you knew where they might have filed.
