Most Scholarships that I have found, require one to have participated in alot of volunteer work, which I do not have. I have actually been turned down because my grades are excellent, but no volunteering/experience.

Look into scholarships - there's scholarships for everything - some based on what you want to study, some based on what your parents do for a living, even the local cable companies give them out. Go see your counselor, often they can give you direction on where to look.

It's best to check local scholarships because there is less competition than the national scholarships. Some grants are based solely on grades as well. Doesn't your university also offer entrance scholarships? With your good marks, you can possibly apply for the prestige scholarships than can help pay for a year's worth of tuition.

check with your financial ad. department about grants(which are awesome because you don't pay back!!!) you can also check with the college's job placement office (if you have one) that way you can work around your schedule... and make some cash... (ALSO... I did this.... see if there are any openings for Resident Assistant positions... my college had one, and it paid for my housing/and 1/2 food cost, not to mention some spare dough! It was a cool job and got to meet some cool people too!!) GOOD LUCK!!!
