Just make phone calls to hotels & wedding planners. Maui & Oahu are one of the premiere wedding locations in the world. Many(100's) of planners are experienced, creative, & excellent. In my opinion the most experienced the better, so ask how many weddings they've done. Do your homework & maybe even ask their clients for reccommendations. The Japanese are very meticulous & extravagant(I am Japanese) ask for discounts because they know that Japanese will pay more than Westerners. Package deals can give you leverage to save more money( Same hotel as wedding will use their own planners & connections to give you a magnificent experience for a lesser price than if you shopped around for everything. Let 1 planner do everything because they can get everything done with their inside connections for less money.Thesepurveyors have done 1000's of weddings & know what they are doing, just do your homework & ask how long they have been in business. you can get married at the hotel, at their chapel, on their beachThey can also arrange for you to get married up in the mountains(real secluded0., they will arrange for a limosine, Champagne ,Complimentary things this & that don't be afraid to ask remember you have the power, you're spending the money & bringing people & business into their hotel, they will treat you like Kings bc they want you & your relatives to come back, possibly for another wedding.Hana is ideal but my choice is on a motor or sailboat.Catermeran at sunset! Then dinner at one of the hotel's best restraunts or just a cocktail party. Any kind of entertainment can be booked for an hour or four. Maui has some of the best musicians & entertainers in the world. Or you could have your Wedding At The Old Lahaina Luau(no.1 in the state) but there will be another couple hundred people there. people there

I highly reccommend Ancient Hawaiian Weddings and Reverend Jesse Nakooka.
Bio from their website: Jesse was born in the old whaling town of Lahaina on Maui. This was a time when Hawaii was still a Territory of the United States. Jesse was one of 12 brothers and sisters. Both parents were full blooded Hawaiians. He loved music and was quite active in the church choir, singing and playing the piano. At age 21 he went to the Micronesian Islands and upon his return started the first Lu'au on Maui in 1968. He even performed for Queen Elizabeth of England in Yellowknife which was a great honor to him. Jesse has been an ordained minister on Maui since 1992. Since then he has done numerous weddings for Kama'aina and couples from many different parts of the world, giving each an every couple his warm Hawaiian smile and gift of Aloha, gift of love.
You would not be disappointed with his service. I met Jesse when I first traveled to Maui almost forty years ago when he performed at the Maui Lu. His heart is so big and beautiful. This man is truly one of the greatest people I have ever met!!!!!!!
