Of course it is. You are paying not for the coffee, but for the store and the profit of the corporation.

Why go to starbucks when you can make the same stuff at home. Honestly, I did it, you can do it. Easy, just takes a blender and ice, and coffee. OR you can buy coffee, I use this stuff from boca java.

This is really good coffee and beats starbucks. Remember, most of the starbucks beans come from Costa Rica, so that is easy to manipulate, so does a lot of other carriers.

Yes....I do think it is over-priced. If I do want a good coffee and want to spend that much money, then I just go to Caribou. Their coffee tastes a heck of a lot better. But most times, I just go to Tim Hortons. Their coffee is great and so are their Iced Capps.

Hell is it's over-priced. If the columbians who grow and make the coffee made even half of what Starbucks sells it for, Columbia would be one of the richest nations in the world, and they wouldn't need cocaine to get to that level!

yeah, but as long as there are people out there who will pay that price then them and every other coffee house will charge those crazy high prices.
(Coffee houses charge more for their cup of coffee then we have to pay for gas yet everyone complains about the high gas prices as they drive to starbucks. I guess we ought to be glad that we don't have to fill our vehicles up with mocha lattes!)

OF COURSE
It's just another addiction that they make money off of
Ever hear about the 3rd place idea they have
Your house and work are supposed to be the first 2 and they want you to spend the rest of your time there
They don't even have alcohol
My 3rd place is on a bar stool HA

Absolutely.
Plus, it sucks. It tastes burnt to me.
I live in Miami and I get a cafe con leche which is essentially the same as a latte or a capuccino and it is 1 dollar not 2.50.
Bustelo Supreme is my coffe of choice (when I am not in Italy then it is a whole different story)

I definitely think it is over-brewed-always tastes burned to me, so I never buy it. You can get a good cup of coffee for a whole lot less.

starbucks plain coffee is kind of overpriced for the flavor/quality. however, their specialty drinks are made really well and are worth the extra $$$.
