the best way is to walk uphill.... or run..you lose it on ur butt and thighes because u are workign out your leggs..
running and walking will also improve your cardio vascular system... and increase metabolism.. plus it also burns the weight on ur tummy..
so running and walking do everything for u....

squats, lunges, speed walking, leg lifts, cardio, walking up hill, will help you. you won't see results right away, but you will and it will be great. you have to add cardio to your resistance training to see results or you will be adding muscle under your fat and you won't see the definition.
