All I know is that Jesus was proclaimed and divined to be the Messiah at the nativity of his birth.
In hebrew the Messiah is a prophet anointed by God to lead the jewish people. At the time of his birth this took an additional connotation of a person who would free the Jewish state from Roman occupation.
All this other trinity, god, son of god and holy ghoast comes from the different stories of his disciples who wrote about Jesus after his birth. There is even some scholarly speculation that some of the books in the new testement could have even ben written a couple of generations after Jesus' death. Add on to that centuries of re-interpretations, traslations, and language evolutionand you get a one confusing mess.
That's why there are so many sects of Christianity. This is one of the questions that seperates them. How do you interpret a new testement that wasn't written by Jesus and relies on the fallibilities of men's memories in recalling past events.
In the context of Jesus' time jesus immediate disciples were more interested in removing Roman control and influence over Israel. They can be thought of as intellectual freedom fighters following the one who they though of as the Messiah who would free them. Ths can be seen in the new testement by Jesus obvious disdain and challenges to the authority to the temple and judges. One must remember that Judaism was a state religion.

Great question--but did he really claim to be God the Son, a phrase that is never used in the entire Bible? He said, He that has seen me has seen the Father. The gospel of John 1:18 says plainly, no man has seen God at any time. So you have an apparent contradiction in scripture, which claims itself to be infallible. So...What if he WASN'T God, but exactly what he claimed to be, THE Son of God. We still have everything that he paid for, and he sits on the right hand of the Father, making intercession for us. God (THE FATHER)--well, he ONLY is God.

Jesus him self never claim to be god, followers did not want to follow a men so they raised him to be GOD
The real problem is not who was Jesus, the real problem is how 1+1+1=3=1
I gotta give all teh credits to Cristians for inventing thier own math. They can't count to 3 that why they had Dark ages. Now it's kinda late to change so they have to stick to the same dogma, 3 in one. Wow. And they call thier religion is monoteistic.
They will jump some distance to explain how 3 can be the same . But some how when they count money they don't use thier own invented math.
Therefore GOD exists.

Jesus was the son of God.
The scripture that mentions Jesus making himself equal to God is John 5:19, but if you read the verses before that, it wasn't Jesus who said he was equal to God, it was the Pharisees who claimed Jesus was making himself equal to God.
Jesus had a beginning and was created -Colossians 1:15
Was inferior to God- John 14:28
Obeyed what God told him to do- Philippians 2:8; Hebrews 5:8 (who is God obedient to?)
No one has ever seen God- John 1:18

Jesus is the son of God.
It mentions in the bible many times how Jesus prayed to God the father. Jesus, being perfect is a god, but not God the father. They are two.

Jesus is God, God is Father(Creator and sustainer), Son(Creator, sinless Man and Savior from personal sin) and Holy Spirit(The Teacher of descernment, Guide and indwelling of God in His people). Jesus provided by God the Father is the only one Man that lived a Holy Godly life which was required for a perfect object for God's judgemental wrath on sin. the sacrificial lamb for the sins of mankind before God for those whom trust in His work on and after the cross. Jesus lives!

This really depends on what religion you are from. Many religions believe in the Trinity, in which God is Father, Son (Jesus), and Holy Ghost all at the same time.
However, other religions instead believe that they are separate entities. Instead of asking others what to believe, you should do research on your own in the Bible and in your own belief system to help answer your question.

Again another bible contradiction. One place Jesus is God, another he is the Son of God. It so confused the Arians and Athansians that they all sat and voted on it and Constantine kicked out the Arians and so today we are left holding the Athansians Trinity doctrine. It's all religious politics, sorry, politricks!

Firstly, Thank you for allowing me to respond to this Question.
secondly, with reguard to your Question. you may be asking because you are in doubt. which is completely normal.
because if you go to anyone and ask them to explain to you the trinity, they will not be able to give you an adequete answer.
Never once did Jesus (peace be upon him) claim to be God. If you look into the bible, if you have a red lettered one that highlights supposedly what Jesus has said, than never once will you find that he told his people to worship him. On the contrary, he said "Worship Thy Father Alone" i.e. worship God Alone.
Third of All, In Islam we believe in Jesus as a highly respected Prophet of Allah (God). just like Moses, Adam, Abraham, Noah, etc.
They All came with the same message : To worship the creator Alone.
Indeed, it is very blasphemous to say that Jesus Is God.
#1. Jesus was A human, and everyone will agree upon that. meaning he ate, slept, used the bathroom, etc. Things that Muslims Believe are not attributes fit for the Lord of the Universe, because he is free of all needs.
#2. The Christians believed that Jesus died on the Cross. How can God Die? if that were the case, than how can it be that he would be on the cross saying "Why have you forsaken me" to the one who is in heaven, if they were one in the same. and how is it that He knew he would die, but didnt know at the same time?
and if he died for 3 days, who was God during those 3 days?
nothing makes sense.
but everything in Islam Makes sense. wouldnt it be more logical that he were a Righteous Prophet of God, rather than God himself?
If you believe
1. that there is no object worthy of worship but Allah (God)
2. you believe in the angles
3. Heaven and hell
4. The Books that came before (the Old testament, Gospels, Quran)
5. you believe in the all the Prophets of God starting from Adam, including Moses, Jesus, Abraham, Noah, and Muhammad peace be upon all of them)
and finally
6. Divine decree.
than welcome to Islam.
Finally, if you do not wish to listen to anything i've said, at least do one thing which you have nothing to lose.
Seek guidance from God himself to guide you on the strait path, and see where it leads you.
I Swear by Allah, that if you Sincerely and whole-heartedly ask Him for Guidance to the truth. He will lead you to it.
you have nothing you lose.
I ask God to guide you all to the truth. ameen.

you actual follow a good prepare of idea! more effective precisely, i believe guy, human beings have created gods of their own image. to describe the unexplainable. This has been outfitted upon, it has created an market of religions. God isn't human, nor a being. No being ought to create the universe. image voltaic platforms, galaxies, etc. yet to respond to the question, the position did this all start up, guy has created a god.
