Telling lies falls into different categories. People can lie as a matter of choice and know they are being untruthful. There are certain psychological illnesses that are responsible for the person to not only lie but t also believe their own lies. (google: Walter Mitty) Some people lie to make their life more interesting and as they develop, so does the lie till the point they live the lie often at great expense outwith their incomes. This is not an attempt at dishonesty but an effort to improve a dull life. It is an accepted pshychiatric condition.

Some people lie to much that they are starting to believe their own lies and get caught up in the fasicination that they are creating from their lies. Some people also lie to much that they can not remember the lie that they told to a person.
